Certified PulsAIO Contractor Program

Get the data. Do the work. Get paid. That's it.

The AI-powered HVAC intelligence platform. Now routing work to techs who know what they're doing.

A Note On Timing

This is a founding contractor program.

We're installing our first live test sites in the coming weeks. The first techs we certify are charter contractors — which comes with specific advantages:

  • You're building the playbook with us, not running someone else's
  • Your feedback on aiRon shapes the knowledge base before it scales
  • When we grow, you're the senior tech other certified contractors learn from
  • Founding contractor status on record, permanently

Our charter certified contractor anchors our Houston launch. The first 5–10 techs we bring in beyond that will define what the program looks like for everyone who comes after.

If you want to wait until we've proven it out on 50 sites, we understand — check back in 12 months. If you want to be one of the first few techs who defines what this looks like, let's talk.

Why We're Writing You

A letter from Ron Snider.

You know the drill. Customer calls at 4:30 on a Friday. Unit's down. You drive out blind. Climb up. Start chasing it. Two hours in, you realize you need a part that's back at the supply house. It's almost closed. The customer is losing money every minute. The kitchen's 85 degrees. You're the one who has to tell the manager you'll be back tomorrow.

We built PulsAIO to fix that. Not to replace techs. To make the good ones better at what they already do.

Here's what PulsAIO is: continuous sensor hardware on commercial HVAC units — rooftops, heat pumps, DX systems — feeding live data to an AI that watches for problems and flags them before they turn into emergencies. The product is sold to building owners, not contractors. We make our money from them, not from you.

But the product doesn't work without good field techs. AI can flag a refrigerant leak. AI can't climb a ladder and find the flare that's weeping. That's where you come in.

We're building a network of certified contractors — techs who know what they're doing, who get access to the PulsAIO platform, who receive dispatches from our customers with live sensor data already in hand, and who close out jobs through our AI interface we call aiRon. In exchange, we route work to you, make your job easier with live data, and keep customers from second-guessing your invoices.

This document lays out what that looks like for you. Read it in about 10 minutes. If it makes sense, apply. If not, no hard feelings.

— Ron Snider, PulsAIO Co-Founder · 40+ years on the roof

What's In It For You

The money question.

Nobody wants to hear about technology. Techs want to know: does this make me more money or less?

Three ways certified contractors make more with PulsAIO:

20–30

Min Saved Per Call

Pre-dispatched sensor data means you show up knowing what's wrong. That's an extra job per day or an earlier quitting time.

2–3%

Top-Tier Callback Rate

Most HVAC companies run 20–30% callbacks because of incomplete diagnostics and missing parts. PulsAIO verification watches sensor data return to baseline after every repair — and flags it while you're still nearby if the fix didn't hold.

Faster Authorization

When PulsAIO confirms a repair is worth, say, $1,296 a year in savings, the customer stops negotiating the $450 bill. You close more tickets, faster, at full rates.

On pilot data: We'll publish what certified contractors are actually seeing once we have 90 days of real dispatch data. Until then, the math is on the table — judge it for yourself.
The Full List

What certified contractors actually get.

For You as a Tech
What It Means Day-to-Day
Pre-dispatched diagnostics
You show up knowing what's wrong. No guessing. The system already has 7–28 days of data on the unit.
Fewer callbacks
PulsAIO verifies your fix by watching sensor data return to baseline. If it didn't hold, we catch it before the customer does.
Parts lookup at your fingertips
See exactly what part is failing, what model/PN, and whether it's on your truck — before you climb the ladder.
Bundled work orders
PulsAIO groups repairs and PMs on the same unit into one trip. Less driving, more billable hours per day.
Ron in your ear
Stuck? Talk to aiRon. 40+ years of HVAC troubleshooting, codified. If Ron doesn't know, a real human picks up.
Customer trusts the data
When PulsAIO confirms your diagnosis, the customer stops second-guessing your bill.
Preferred dispatch
Customers using PulsAIO route work to certified contractors first. More jobs, less marketing.
Free to use
No subscription, no fees, no revenue share on your invoices. We make money from the customer, not you.

Meet aiRon

Your copilot, not your replacement.

Let's get this out of the way first: aiRon is not going to replace you. AI can't braze a joint. AI can't pull a contactor. AI can't smell a burnt compressor. You do.

What aiRon does is give you the senior tech on speakerphone you used to call when you were stuck. Except this one never retires, never takes a lunch, and has live sensor data on the unit you're staring at.

— You arrive at a site. The app sees your location and asks if you're there for the work order. You tap yes. —
aiRon Hey Paul. You're on RTU 02. I've been flagging this unit for 9 days — pressure drift on the discharge line. Walk me through what you're seeing up there.
Paul Yeah I see some oil residue at the service valve. I'll pressure test. You got the baseline on charge?
aiRon Unit is at 91.8% of design charge. Superheat is 18°F — should be 12°F. Current draw up 14%. What you're seeing matches the leak pattern.

No clipboard. No paper form. No multiple-choice menus. Natural conversation, hands-free if you want it. The app logs everything to the customer's record.

aiRon is the hardest-working employee at PulsAIO.

And aiRon is everywhere. Building owners ask aiRon about their P&L. Facility managers ask aiRon about unit status. Enterprise operators ask aiRon which sites need attention next. Certified contractors ask aiRon for diagnostic help on the roof. Every role at PulsAIO talks to aiRon. Every question flows through aiRon. Every repair lands in aiRon's memory for the next tech who shows up.

aiRon never retires. Never takes a lunch. Gets smarter every day. And every answer aiRon gives comes from forty years of Ron Snider's experience — reviewed by Ron personally, job by job, before it reaches your ear.

When aiRon doesn't know, you ask a human.

aiRon is built on 40+ years of real HVAC experience from Ron Snider plus contributions from veteran field techs and retired experts. Every piece of knowledge in the system is reviewed by Ron personally before it goes live. Nothing is textbook theory. It's all from the roof.

If aiRon doesn't know the answer — and it happens — you escalate to a real human. Actual techs with decades of experience walk you through the weird ones. Not outsourced call center support.

The Honest Version

What we need from you.

1

Check in with aiRon on every PulsAIO job.

When you arrive, you check in. When you leave, you close out. Takes a few seconds on the front end, a couple minutes on the back end. The whole system depends on capturing what actually happens on the roof. No exceptions on this one.

2

Follow the recommended diagnostic path — or tell us why you're not.

Both are fine. What we don't want is silent deviation where the customer ends up with a $1,200 bill for something that could have been a 10-minute fix. Your judgment is why we're hiring you. If you think aiRon is wrong, say so. We need the conversation, not silence.

3

Keep your certifications current.

EPA 608 and whatever state licensing your area requires. Same as you do now.

4

Treat the customer like a partner, not a wallet.

PulsAIO customers are operators of multiple sites. They talk to each other. Do good work, treat the manager right, close out clean — word spreads. Don't be brilliant and rude.

The Process

How you get certified.

Straightforward. About a day and a half over 2–3 weeks. Free. You're not paying for training, we're not paying you for your time. Fair trade — you invest the time, we give you the platform and the dispatch network.

Questions We Always Get

Frequently asked.

Does PulsAIO cost me anything?
No. No subscription, no application fee, no commission on your invoices. We make our money from the building owners who pay for the PulsAIO platform.
Can I leave if I don't like it?
Yes. No lock-in. We ask for 30 days notice so we can redistribute your existing dispatches, and we keep your certification active for 90 days after in case you change your mind.
What if a customer I already service wants to add PulsAIO?
Then getting certified is a no-brainer. You keep that customer, they get a better experience, and you get access to additional dispatches from other PulsAIO customers in your area.
Am I required to use aiRon if a customer doesn't have PulsAIO?
No. aiRon check-in is required only on jobs dispatched through PulsAIO. Your non-PulsAIO work is your business, run however you run it.
What if I disagree with aiRon's diagnosis?
Tell it. The system learns. Ron reviews tech feedback personally and updates the knowledge base. We'd rather you disagree and be right than agree silently and be wrong.
Does the customer see everything I say to aiRon?
No. The customer sees the repair summary, parts used, and outcome — the kind of info they'd normally get on an invoice. Your casual conversation with aiRon and your diagnostic process stay private. We're not creating a surveillance trail.
What about my existing service agreement with the customer?
Your agreement is your agreement. PulsAIO doesn't change your pricing, your terms, or your commercial relationship. We just give you better data to do the work you're already doing.
Is PulsAIO going to replace techs with AI eventually?
No. AI can't diagnose a bad bearing by touch, smell a burnt winding, or feel a misaligned shaft. Half of what experienced techs do isn't in any book. Our goal is to make the experienced techs we have more valuable, not to eliminate the role.
Who sees my performance data?
You do. Your shop owner does, if you work for one. The customer sees the quality of work on their own equipment. That's it. PulsAIO doesn't publish contractor leaderboards.
Individual tech or whole company?
Either. We can certify individual techs working at a multi-tech shop (with your shop owner's approval), or we can onboard the whole company at once.
Warranty claims on my repairs?
Your warranty is between you and the customer, same as today. PulsAIO provides the documentation that makes claims cleaner — timestamped work history, sensor data before and after, parts used, verification the fix held. That protects you, not just the customer.
The Bottom Line

Good techs are hard to find.

The industry is short 110,000 technicians and losing about 25,000 more every year to retirement and career changes. It's getting worse, not better.

We built PulsAIO because good techs spend half their day chasing data that should already be in their hand, and the other half explaining to customers why a repair is worth what it costs.

We can't fix the labor shortage — that's a generational problem. But we can make the techs we have more effective, more productive, and more valued.
